Thanks for all of the support fellow-mommies. I'm glad to know that there are several others out there like me who just don't see the rush in feeding their babies rice cereal...and even more grateful to know that rice cereal isn't even necessary. I am definitely looking into another alternative for her first food. Why give her something that isn't worth all of the trouble?
As with any task in life, there is no 'one size fits all' solution to any problem. Zoey is quite the individual and I would hate to think that she fits into any mold perfectly. We will definitely be taking the best from all of the advice given and see what works for my sweet Z.
In the meantime, the only thing on her highchair tray are toys. Eat away, girl!
